Katherine Avants

Katherine Avants has been a Senior Staff Engineer with Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC since 2001. She’s worked to develop, propose, gain approval for, and manage a total capital investment in excess of $250 million and coordinated with the Design and Sales teams to create overall concept for the next model. She also works to ensure compliance of all applicable environmental regulations and standards in the development of the new product.

She facilitated a tree planting initiative to offset the CO2 impact of new construction at the plant and led Honda’s most successful Light Truck product launch in North America.

She serves as Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee of The Nature Conservancy in Alabama, and advisory board member of the Longleaf Botanical Gardens in Anniston. She is a graduate of Auburn University.
