The Alabama Trails Foundation will host a ride in partnership with Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA), and there will be points of interest to stop at in each town along the trail.
Trails are important for economic development, community wellbeing, and regional connections. East Alabama can benefit from a general trails strategy… let’s work together to get organized and make it happen.
The event will be held in the green space behind the building next to the Chief Ladiga Trail in Piedmont, Alabama.
Registration tables will be located at Mike Tucker Park from 9 AM to 10 AM, and at the Jacksonville Train Depot from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. You can also register and pick up wristbands at the Alabama Trails Foundation table located at 107 S Main Street in Piedmont, AL beginning at 11 AM.
Trail organizations in east Alabama are teaming up with the cities of Anniston, Weaver, Jacksonville, and Piedmont to host Celebrate Trails Day on the Chief Ladiga Trail!
The Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association will host two group bikes rides on the trail. There will be a longer option and a shorter option with a turnaround point in Piedmont for both rides. You aren’t required to participate in a group ride to take part in this event. Everyone is welcome to get outside and enjoy the trail!
Hydration and information stations will be set up at multiple locations along the trail. Food trucks and live music will be located in Piedmont for everyone to enjoy!
Check out the event link for more details. This event is a collaboration between the Alabama Trails Foundation, Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association, Pinhoti Pizza Company, and many other great organizations!
We look forward to celebrating on the Chief Ladiga Trail with you on Celebrate Trails Day!
