Alabama’s First Mountain Makes a Home for the Pinhoti Trail
A Celebration of the Official Hiking Gateway to Appalachia at Flagg Mountain Tower: A Year of Alabama Trails Event

Parking will be limited at the tower and the accessible trail parking lot. We suggest you carpool if possible. Overflow parking will be available at the cabin site. Someone will be present to help you get to the tower. (32.993735, -86.367785). Plan for a short walk (0.4 miles) on the accessible trail.
Note: no pets. (service animals are, of course, allowed). The walking path to the top of the mountain is concrete with a very gentle slope. Comfortable shoes are suggested. Water will be available, along with some chairs and tents for shade. Bring sunscreen and bug spray. If you have accessibility or health concerns, please let us know. We’ll work to accommodate requests.
